Despite the dismal weather forecast and occasional short showers, there was a reasonable attendance by a hardcore of guests and members who put on some good displays in spite of the conditions not being ideal. Thank you to John Veasey and all those who put in a lot of effort to make this and all our events a sucess.
The weather having returned to what we normally expect for a summer in the UK has prompted a couple of queries to ask if the events planned for the weekend are going ahead. YES is the answer and we look forward to seeing members and guests on both days. Considering the good dose of rain which we had yesterday it has been decided that jets can fly at the event.
Aaron I’Anson has called to report the very sad news that club member Barry Pelham passed away in hospital this morning. It was Barry’s wish for his Wake to take place at our flying field, so we can arrange something special for him. We will miss him. He was one of life’s characters.
Please note, it has been pointed out that when I submitted details of these events on the BMFA website, I put both events down as being on the 11th.
