Chairman’s Christmas Message

On behalf of myself and the committee, I would like to wish all of our members a very happy Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

I am sure that all of us are affected in some way or another by current worldwide events, with lingering Covid, the war in Ukraine, the cost-of-living crisis, and current strike action all frequently in the news. I won’t mention politics (whoops too late).

As far as flying goes it’s been a good year and we’re all hoping next year will be even better. We will try hard to co-ordinate our club events with other clubs, particularly in the London and Southeast area. This is not as easy as it sounds.

As I write these notes, we recently interviewed several prospective new members: There were two sessions, one each day on 17th and 18th December. We look forward to welcoming them to the club soon. If you see any of our new members at the field, please make them welcome.
