The crops surrounding our field are still green and are not a fire hazard at the moment, but with the recent weather, it is likely that they will be browning off and flammable within the next couple of weeks.
So, jet pilots should bear in mind that they only have a couple of weeks before turbine powered jet flying is suspended until the crops are harvested and the stubble ploughed in.
