I arrived at 8.30 and there were a few cars setting up, but not many. Within an hour the field and car park was pretty packed. As usual there were plenty of bargains to be had. Many were determined to sell. One person said to me “if I don’t sell these models I’m going to burn them”. He sold them all ridiculously cheaply. By 11.30 some people had sold out and were leaving, but some were still coming in! Lots of stuff was bought and sold as usual and as it was a chance to meet up with old friends and have a chat -and sometimes tell lies- but it’s all good fun and that is the point. I also raised the Union Flag for the summer, which has a little more significance this year given the events in London next weekend.
