Splendid day with ideal weather and loads of planes.
When I arrived at around 11:30 am the car park was pretty much full and I had difficulty in finding a spot to unload.
The pits were about as full as I’ve ever seen with loads of interesting models, the viewing area was well populated and Jackie was doing a roaring trade with food and drinks.
Bob flew Mick Abrahams glider with Nigel piloting Mick’s 40cc twin powered Wot 4 Xtreme as a tug. All went very well and Bob managed quite a long flight.
Bob Ryan was in demand as test pilot and flew Andrew Chilcott’s Sopwith for him to get a few wrinkles sorted out. Andrew went home happy with a prize for his wonderful building effort on a very good looking model.
Other prize winners include Don Coe for his Bleriot and Blackburn monoplanes and Nigel I’anson for his superb looking and sounding Wildcat
Well done John Veasey for the arrangements and organisation which all went very smoothly, all in all a very successful day with loads of visitors who seemed to enjoy themselves enormously.
