New Rules at Thurnham

Not something that will affect the club directly, but will impact some members, are the new signs and rules at Thurnham stating no drones or motor gliders. All powered gliders will need props removed to comply with the rules. It’s a shame, but it could have been a lot worse!

Field reopening 2nd December

Following Government and BMFA announcements, the field will be reopening for flying activities from next Wednesday (2nd) December. All previous controls, including track & trace (07984 374611) and social distancing remain in place and should be adhered to at all times. Field will be closed this Friday, 9th October.

We have been advised that the machine used to clear the overhanging vegetation in the lane has now been repaired, so the lane and field will be closed this coming Friday (9th October) for cutting. Many thanks.
